The West Virginia State Fair in Lewisburg occupies one of the most scenically beautiful fairground sites in America — a 60-acre campus nestled in the Greenbrier Valley, surrounded by the folded Appalachian ridges of southern West Virginia. The grandstand, livestock barns, exhibition halls, and midway are set against a backdrop of forested hillsides that no amount of art direction can replicate. Lewisburg itself is a charming historic small city with antebellum architecture, proximity to the Greenbrier resort (a historic property in its own right), and the wild New River Gorge National Park just to the north.
