About
The George R. Brown Convention Center anchors downtown Houston's convention district with 1.9 million square feet of event space and one of the most dynamic urban contexts of any convention center in the country. The curved glass exterior faces the Discovery Green — a beautifully designed 12-acre urban park with a lake, amphitheater, and year-round programming. Avenida de las Americas creates a generous pedestrian boulevard between the GRB and the Toyota Center arena. The Houston skyline frames the north and west views. Texas has no state income tax and offers the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program. Houston's film production has grown dramatically, particularly for corporate and commercial production. The GRB's events team is professional and has experience with production inquiries of all scales.
