“Arkansas's only resort state park on a Corps lake; rolling Ouachita Mountain foothills; clear blue water; dramatic dam and spillway; excellent film-friendly infrastructure”
About This Location
DeGray Lake Resort State Park is Arkansas's only island-based resort state park, built on a peninsula jutting into a beautiful Corps of Engineers reservoir in the Ouachita Mountain foothills south of Little Rock. The park features a full-service resort lodge, conference center, and golf course, giving film productions exceptional on-site accommodation and staging infrastructure. The 13,400-acre lake is surrounded by rolling, pine-forested Ouachita Mountain terrain with clear blue water and a dramatic spillway dam. The Little Rock District Corps manages the reservoir. Arkansas Film Commission incentives are available for qualifying productions. The Ouachita Mountains' forest landscape — more rugged than the Delta flatlands to the east — offers varied natural scenery. The resort infrastructure makes complex productions logistically manageable in a rural location. Ideal for features, episodic television, and outdoor recreation content requiring excellent southern Arkansas scenery.
