About
Cape Cod National Seashore protects 43,500 acres along the outer arc of Cape Cod, Massachusetts — a glacially sculpted peninsula of Atlantic beaches, towering Highland Cliffs, freshwater kettle ponds, and pitch pine and scrub oak forests. The seashore's visual character shifts dramatically by season and light: August golden dunes and sparkling Atlantic; October windswept beaches and amber forest; February frozen kettle ponds and steely grey surf. The Province Lands near Provincetown feature some of the Northeast's most impressive inland sand dune formations. The seashore has a dedicated commercial filming and photography permit office reachable at 508-957-0706. Federal law requires permits for all commercial filming regardless of crew size. Proximity to Boston (2 hours) and Providence (90 minutes) provides strong logistics support.
