About
The Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver is best known to the general public for Lawrence Argent's I See What You Mean โ the 40-foot Blue Bear sculpture peering with comic curiosity through the convention center's glass wall. The bear alone has become a cultural landmark and a signature establishing shot for Denver. Inside, the convention center offers 2.2 million square feet of event space with roof-level terraces and mountain views. The 16th Street Mall pedestrian promenade runs directly adjacent. Denver's production scene is active, supported by the Colorado Office of Film, Television & Media's 20% rebate program. The combination of the Blue Bear's visual icon status, the downtown Denver context, and the Rocky Mountain backdrop makes the convention center one of the most cinematically specific venues in the Mountain West.
