About
The Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville's Wedgewood-Houston district is one of the more cinematically unusual fairground locations in the country — a 117-acre campus in transition, where century-old exposition halls and a functioning speedway co-exist with one of America's fastest-growing urban neighborhoods. The grandstand and half-mile speedway are intact and operational. Exposition Hall is a massive timber-and-brick structure with high clerestory windows and open floor plans ideal for production staging. The surrounding Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood is densely creative — art galleries, recording studios, breweries — creating an atypical fairground context. Nashville's film production has exploded alongside the city's broader growth. The city government manages the grounds and has been engaged with production for many years.
