About

The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center stretches for nearly a mile along the Mississippi River in New Orleans' Warehouse District — 1.1 million square feet of clear-span exhibition space adjacent to the French Quarter and the most cinematically active city in the American South. The building's scale is impressive, but its greatest asset is context: the Mississippi River is a block to the south, the French Quarter begins a block to the north, and the Warehouse Arts District — galleries, restaurants, boutique hotels — surrounds it. Louisiana's 40% film incentive is the most generous in the country, and New Orleans' production infrastructure is enormous. The Morial Center itself has been used as a filming location numerous times. For productions requiring massive interior scale in a city-center New Orleans context, nothing else compares.
